Dear Editor,
I am very concerned about the availability of substandard construction bricks on the market.
I wanted to start building my house this year and I searched all around Blantyre for bricks, all I could find were bricks smaller than the recommended size.
To my surprise, big construction industries buy these substandard bricks for their work. The consumer pays for the price in cement.
Could the appropriate authorities please help in this area?
We always blame China for substandard products. Let us start at home.
